How it works
Record once, apply edit fast.
Choose what to capture, keep the controls within reach across macOS Spaces, and open the result straight in the editor.
01
Record
Capture a display, window, or selected region with camera, microphone, and system audio as separate controls.
02
Edit
Cut dead air, add an intentional zoom, replace one sentence with a voiceover, and set the visual background.
03
Export
Send an MP4 and export just the audio.
Local-first by design
Your recording stays on your Mac.
Screen recordings can include customer accounts, internal tools, and unreleased work. Screen Records saves projects locally instead of uploading their contents for processing.

Questions
Quick answers
Does Screen Records upload recordings to the cloud?
No. Recording and editing happen on your Mac, and projects are saved to a folder you choose. The app only contacts the service for license verification and update checks.
Can Screen Records capture system audio, camera, and microphone together?
Yes. System audio, microphone, and camera are independent recording controls. The audio sources remain separate tracks so you can adjust or export them independently.
Is Screen Records an editor as well as a recorder?
Yes. A recording opens directly in the built-in editor, where you can split and delete sections, place zoom markers, record a voiceover, change the background, and export the result.
Which Macs can run Screen Records?
Screen Records supports Apple Silicon and Intel Macs running macOS 14.0 or later.
