Refund Policy

Last updated August 26, 2026

The free trial exists so you can find out before you pay. If you paid anyway and it was not right, we refund it — no interrogation.

14 days, no argument

Ask within 14 days of purchase and we will refund your license in full. You do not need a reason. We may ask what went wrong, because it is useful to know, but the refund does not depend on your answer.

How to request one

  1. Email support@screenrecords.app from the address you paid with.
  2. Include your Stripe receipt number or the reference from the checkout success page.
  3. We confirm and issue the refund, usually within two business days.

Stripe returns the money to your original payment method. Your bank typically posts it within 5–10 business days — that part is out of our hands.

What happens to the license

A refunded license is deactivated, and the app returns to the free trial state on the Macs that used it. Recordings and projects you already made are untouched and remain yours.

After 14 days

We are not required to refund past 14 days, but we would rather fix the problem than keep money from someone the app is failing. If a bug or an incompatibility is blocking you, write to us — support comes first, and we will judge the refund on the facts.

Chargebacks

Please email us before opening a chargeback. A chargeback freezes the payment for months and automatically revokes the license, which helps neither of us. We answer email quickly and a refund is faster.

Fraudulent purchases

If a license was bought with a stolen card, we refund it and revoke it as soon as we know. Report it to support@screenrecords.app.
